Hi everyone!!!

I am returning after a very long absence! I am looking for suggestions on what to restock my tank with. I have a 40 liter tank dimentions are 62x72x39cm think its about 28.3" tall. Its a tall tank with a small base! I'm not going to lie I lost interest in the hobby when I was going through a very tough stressful time at work and lost the majority of stock to disease and old age. Now that things have settled down at work and home I find myself sitting watching the tank again and I want to start restocking it.

Currently I have a male and female bristle nose, a clown plec, 3 albino corys and 3 bronchis in the tank. I have previously kept Angels, Gorami, fighters, tetra, GBR, kribs, guppies, mollys, apple snails, shrimp and loads of others!

I don't really want to get Angels again as they terrorized the tank but I'm up for any other ideas!

hmmm i just recently got back into the swing of things with my tank too, like yourself i had alot going on an kinda put the hobby down for a while. I would say go for something peaceful and pretty, in my tank i got a few Harliquins, some long fin danios , and two pretty female bettas that get along very well. it ultimately is up to what you are going for in your tank, like i said before i went with safe and peaceful. (i had to fight the urge to get some albino tiger oscars i saw in the petshop)

I like Rams myself. They are colorful, interesting and fun to watch.

You need some cichlids! There are various genera of West African and South American dwarf cichlids that'll be likely to please. Pelvicachromis, Nannochromis, Anomalochromis, Teleogramma, and Steatocranus are genera that hail from West Africa, while the genera Apistogramma, Mikrogeophagus, Nannacara, Laetacara, Dicrossus, Biotodoma, and Cleithracara come from South America. More than enough to choose from!

Or, you could go another direction and get a few scarlet badis. Gorgeous, those things.
