ok a video of my 55 and a few Questions. need answers quicks please....

alright, really need asnwers please, my fish are in a 20 gallon tote, if you all think its safe then ill fill the tank.. if not then what you think i should do?

well yeah kinda skeptical to.. my fish are in my 20 gallon tote..and worrried. well got my elec blue ahli pair in my 10 alone with a aqua-tech 30-60 running.. waiting on getting my tank set up.. and may get another 55 today for 15.00 :)

I dunno man...it looks like it's built for an 80g. Maybe if you reinforced the entire top with a fat piece of plywood it would equally distribute the weight of the tank.

don't set it up on the floor because then you won't be able to get a syphon going and won't be able to clean it. you need the power of gravity.

reinforce the stand with 2 X 4s and you should be alright

IDK about load bearing stuff, thats required for this.

But to try to be helpful I done a couple of searches on bing. But of course, everyone's just selling the plans.

Did you build yours?
If so...
Did the plans that you followed, give you a clue about what area needs braced for the load, etc?

Maybe your answer will be there?

as is, that stand is not safe for that tank. the bottom trim of the tank needs to make contact everywhere, not just on the ends/corners IMO. as mentioned, reinforce it, and put plywood across the top of the stand to make a surface all the tank trim will contact with. in between the plywood and the tank, put a thin styrofoam sheet to aid with leveling the tank.
