Nano tank hair algae eaters?

Hi,

Long time no post.
Not a Newbie, but I have a simple question.

I have a heavily planted tank, with some clumps of hair algae disbursed throughout.

Since, I've read that 20 gals are being classified as nano's (?).
I'd like a fish or invertebrate that loves hair algae, but can survive in a small tank.

A little housekeeping, in an empty tank, is all I need, prior to adding any new fish.

I've read about the "Lawn mower Blenny", but at an adult size of 5 inches. nothing else could be added to a tank.

Love to hear any suggestions.
Other than clean the green.

Aargh I should've looked at the sub forum you were posting in. When I read that you had a heavily planted tank I assumed it was FW. Teach me to assume.

I wonder if "turbo" snails go for hair/filamentous algae or not?
 
My court jester goby eats it, although I doubt it would do enough to make an impact.

What kind of cuc do you have now?

Mexican Turbo snails and or a Tuxedo urchin. Turbos here (even big ones) are $0.99 and when they are done with their job, you can take them back to the store or keep them I have had 2 med/lrg in my 40B and have for years. I have never had hair algae and they get plenty of food. Red banded trochus are another good snail. Smaller that the MTs but very active and quick.
