so ill be doing a heavily planted low-medium light tank. so far here is my plant list;
dwarf sagitaria
aponogeton
anachris
cabomba
wendetti red
wendetti green
wisteria
any other suggestions? the light is a fixture from walmart that's a 2 bulb plant bulb and has 70 something watts (i dont have it yet). here's is the tank right now.

Hygrophila polysperma or hygrophila difformis. Rapid growth and really easy care :) Anubias coffefolia is a nice change from nana if you can find it that's always nice too. Good luck!
 
I would add rotala rotundifolia or rotala indica, very fast growing beautiful stem plants.:)
Anubias are great too, like nahrie said, coffefolia is pretty nice, I haven't kept that yet, nana, giant barteri, and barteri are pretty cool too.;)
 
+1 on that, I totally forgot to add that:)

Jungle Vals are best for me, start with 10 and end up with 100+ in 2-3 months:)

I personally dislike corkscrew vals as they look weird IMO, and look as if they are dying:).................in circular patterns
 
I would use seachem flourish root tabs, and flourish excel for ferts. I have had great exper. with them for plants. I would get some MTS to stir up your substrate a bit since it is sand.
