Mafia #7 -- The Play

Hi Townies!
Glad to see we are still in discussion on these cluster posts that keep popping up. I noticed it in other games before but this game has been full of them. No one will post for hours then suddenly two or three folks post within a few minutes of one another. Like a meeting just let out. I see where folks are leaning on Swayde for the "light posting" scheme. I'll admit I did that very thing the game I was the Detective. I said in the sign up thread that I would be busy that week in anticipation of maybe getting a role. Also, we have this Charlie vs. jpappy rivalry going. Implies to me they are either on opposite sides or staging a fight for distancing, but charlie seems too good to do that on day 1. And jo is another I'm watching as he seems to want to accuse Ice for his early vote, but Ice explained why he was doing it. So if jo has "caught up" why does he need to ask for a reason?

Hmmmmm...after last posting you might "sneak" back in last night, or early today you don't post again until 11:30am. I think you were sneaking alright. Just not here.

Now we get to Happy Pappy. Finally someone to park your vote on. Is she innocent??? Probably not. Is she on your team?? Definately not.

Charlie's point caught my eye here. Seems as everyone was discussing sway and out of nowhere comes charlie. Charlie, are you simply throwing ideas out or are you trying to take the heat of sway?

I was thinking all day about the NEW and OLD mafia. When I ran my game nothing about the roles were random, I handpicked each and every person for what I thought would make a good game.

If Rb did the same then the NEW mafia could be players that haven't played as much, since none of us are really new.
These would include: Sway Joander Lady G Deputy Sploke as possible new mafia. With Sways "post" I'm throwing my suspicion that way and could be voting for her today.

OLD mafia could be the people that have played in all of the games or most of them. That list would include KOTD DD Charlie Mad Mee mee. They have played in almost every game. DD is one that I wouldn't mind voting for either. While she barely helps the town out with lists and observations she always seems to stick around. Plus when she has been mafia she has been really good at it. I don't feel comfortable keeping her around. If she was known to help, like Mad, I wouldn't have any qualms with keeping her.

Whats your guys thoughts? Am I reaching or do you think this idea has some substance?
Even if the idea is a little left field what about we discuss Sway and DD? How do you feel about the way they play? Are they assets to us?

I would say you are definitely reaching, Ice.... you want to take me out simply because I make you nervous? The same can be said about you because of how well you give your gameplay but I would rather wait and see if there are suspicions on you first. As far as helping the town, I do help and I offer my reasons in my lists. But because they are not as indepth as you'd like them to be doesn't mean they are not helpful....
 
I agree that as of right now Swayde is suspect, but I'm concerned about an overwhelming train forming that would negate any more info. At this point I'm a bit curious about jpappy and Jo. Jpappy for nothing more than a feeling (and, no I'm not pulling a CL) his posts just seem to be in odd "clusters". Jo, because to be caught up and miss the reason for Ice's vote seems very odd. That has been the focus of most of the actual non-chit chat converation. To keep discussions going....

I vote to lynch Joander.
 
sorry ice, i just didnt see the reason. I wasnt disagreeing with it. In my mind it makes sense, as if swayde isnt going to be around much then she wont be able to help the town much. I like the thinking, especially for a first vote. But i dont think that im ready to vote for swayde quite yet simply because of those reasons.

i should try to clarify, not so much completely caught my self up, just more skimmer over things and looked for votes and lists and what not. I saw the vote, and was just looking to get some clarification on the reasoning.

Wow I wasn't saying that at all.

Sway posted in the sign up thread that she wouldn't be posting much. People do that in case they get a mafia role so they can lay low.

Sway then reiterated that she wasn't going to be around much in the game thread. Again reminding us she would be laying low, did she get the mafia role?

Saying you're going to be laying low is almost the same as posting you're an innocent. A red flag type post.

I'm not the only one to poiint it out. Actually Charlie or Mad was 1st, I just decided that you only get answers through actions. I acted ,responses are coming in.

But the reasoning was in the post he made right before the vote?
