I crossed over 1st sw 29g from day 1.-

I wish there was away i could buy some pom poms from you. i need some frags lol.

give me a few more weeks and I would get them to you for just shipping. I paid $100.00 for my light setup, pencil urchin, blue damsel, extra bulbs(new), and then a huge quantity of pompom, most of which I actually had to discard because I was not going to have it EVERYWHERE in my tank and could not get to my LFS before it died in the bag...

So I am not out to make a profit on something I hardly paid anything for. I will keep you posted, but give me a few weeks and I will place a small rock next to it that I can ship out to you.
It should ship relatively easy overnight\priority and then perk right back up under your lights. needs medium flow in the tank as well.

Sounds awesome! I really appreciate the consideration.
going salty is not for for the fickle lol,Because you will pay for it if you are.
but a good looking tank is plenty enough a reward, and to see it teeming with life is amazing.I look forward to seeing your 55g because this tank is doing great.

Coral Banded Shrimp....WHY, BUY OR NOT TO BUY!?!?!

What do I need to know about Coral Banded Shrimp? Buy or not to buy? Reef safe, friendly, bully, what? They have them at my LFS for 8.88 plus I get 25% off of that and they generally have them priced at 19.99....I would have to temp house him for about 3-5 days in my 30 gal until my 75 gal is ready... would he be ok in the 75?

HELP!:help:

i know that they can show aggression in tight quarters meaning that the 20gal with rock and fish in it would be sorta cramped in my opinion...maybe that was the issue?

I think it was because my clowns are small. about 1inch.Im surprised you havnt had any discrepancies between the skunk and the CB shrimp.and i have heard of others who have had problems with this shrimp,so generally i would recomend keeping them with larger fish.

Another note which does your pom pom look like?

they are similiar to the 3rd picture when I got them , but I don't know what is going on...ever since I took them out of the ziplock bag i got them in that have not looked like that , but are still spreading and opening and closing when the lights come on and off..
here is a pic i took of them last night.

sorry the pics are not that great..i am not a photographer..only pics i usually take are silly ones of my son while he is moving 100 mph lol

as for the CBS i went back and got him...i figured for 7.25 i would watch him like a hawk until i switch things to my 75 gal which i am going to start doing this weekend...he was fine all night and he did find my cleaner shrimps hangout but quickly left his territory and made his own which he doesn't really hang out in any one place but walks around everywhere and he hasn't picked at, nipped at, clawed at or chased anything in my tank not even my lil' watchman who is right underneath his sleeping spot...so cross your fingers for me!

Im glad things are working out.So you decided you want a 75g instead of a 55?
Oh thanks for the pics BTW :)

Cleaner Shrimp Question\concern

Ok a few minutes ago we saw my cleaner shrimp hop onto the lawnmower blenny and clean her a little...she got scared and took off...a few seconds later she came back for more and you could tell she was letting him clean her, but my question is.

Do the cleaner shrimps only clean off sick fish or is she probably perfectly healthy still (matilda the lawnmower blenny) I just want to make sure that I am not overlooking a problem when maybe the cleaner shrimp is dropping hints..
