So I just came home from school all happy about the co2 setup.. Got the box out with the milwaukee regulator which came today and started checking out the beauty.. then i noticed that the needle in the right gauge is not in the same place as the needle in the left. Not sure whats wrong with it.. Anyone can help?

The gauge on the right (the working pressure gauge) seems to be busted. Its maxing out when there is no cylinder attached right?. Don't have that particular regulator but if it has adjustible flow, try opening it up and plugging in the solenoid to see if any pressure is trapped within.

Hooked it up to the co2 tank. Followed the directions on the box.. Opened everything in order and this is what i got, needle moved but in the clock wise direction.

Friend on aim suggested that the gauge on the right is in fact blown.. but its a new reg, fresh out of the box? whats the deal..

Sent a pm to water-testers.com place i got it from.. hope they can solve this problem.. Seems that one of the O rings thats below the bubble counter is bad 2. Its slightly leaking some of the water. Not sure if this is how all milwaukees are or I just got a defected one..

Okay BK here's the story - what has likely happened is that someone opened the regulator all the way and then opened the Co2 - blowing the gauge.

The Milwaukee is made to have the screw handle all the way off when attaching the Co2 tank and opening the Co2 tank valve. Then the screw handle is slowly screwed on to release the Co2 into the regulator.

This is exactly the opposite of a garden hose, for example. All the way tightened down on the garden hose (righty - tighty) is closed; whereas, all the way down on the Milwaukee is wide open. If this happens and the Co2 tank is opened, the gauge blows.

Bad O-ring also - looks like this reg is going back!

I found a few posts on plantedtank.net where ppl blew theirs either while setting it up or right after switching out co2 tanks.. Seems pretty common. Someone actually emailed milwaukee ppl and they replied saying that 70% of ppl who have their reg have the busted right guage..
I would accept the fact and live with it if it was me who screwed the guage up. And though i guess it works to a certain extent with the blown gauge (read that only thing hard about that is setting proper bubble rate) I dont really want to live with it since hey i want to get my moneys worth..
