i work in a LFS and a customer of mine had a out break of ich and she has been treating the tank for about two weeks all of her fish but the boxfish had gotten over it but she had read on a web site that once boxfish caught ich it can be treated and will always be with it and that not even a fresh water dip will get rid of it has anyone hurd any thing like this?????

Well, a freshwater dip won't get rid of any ich, but it is certainly treatable and no, the fish won't always be infected with it. Many fish can be exposed to it all the time, but not necessarily infected. It is also possible to have an ich-free tank if every fish is prophylactically treated and everything is quarantined.
