Which is better for algae control? My snail died a month or 2 so ago and I just spent hours scrubbing plants, tank, wood. Not sure if there is a small enough algae eater for my tank (I plan to add a couple platies to my sig). I hate to clean!
I agree that bridgesii are not efficient algae eaters. Do you need something for algae control? Mystery snails are wonderful additions to tanks as they are full of personality.
My mystery snail was very cool, and people loved to watch it. It definitely helped with algae, which I didn't realize how much until it was gone. I think I still had more algae than I prefer, before it died. So I'm considering another critter!
I love my olive nerites that I got from msjinkz. They are such good algae eaters that I have to feed them wafers to make sure they get enough. I have 4 of them in a 10 gallon.
