Two females can form a "pair" and produce infertile eggs. They don't care if the eggs are infertile or not they'll aggressively defend them. Two males would be better imo, and a single would be best.
Well, they're without a doubt my favorite fish, so if later down the road the tank needs to change (inhabitant-wise) to accommodate their needs, that's fine with me.
