I had popeye and dropsy in my leopard bushfish at the same time. I treated with both gram positive and gram negative antibiotics simultaneously...and he's been fine for over a year and half since then. Maracyn 2 is for gram negative, I'd add Maracyn at the same time...if you're not treating the right bacteria type, it's not going to help, and since no one really knows if dropsy responds to gram negative or positive antiobiotics - it's better to use both.

Good luck...he may simply be far too gone to help.
