As I said I rest my case, if you want further infor. type in 'lead toxicity to fish' in your search engine and you will get an eye full. When I get plants with the band, I take them off. I tie the plant to a small rock or go ahead and put it in the substrate. Besides, I don't want no loony fish swiming around in my tank.

Having worked in the field of aquatic bioassay for several years I am well aware that lead is toxic to most life. I am equally aware that lead is a very difficult metal to get to dissolve in water, particularly in its elemental state. You can rest your case, but the bet was whether plant weights are made of lead or not. I'll pm the address you can send the check to!
