A good cleaning, maybe a new filter, background, more plants(easy care low lights if you want). For a 5 gal you can add one betta or like me a female or male betta and a male platy. Yes thye get along only my betta isn ow a female. Get some new fresh gravel if possible and move the driftwood to a different position. You can add a few Ember Tetras if you want. There small.
