Fat Frog

I was changing the substrate in my Pyxie Frogs' tank today and I thought I'd take some pics of him. I've had him a little over a year now and he's grown from the size of a ping pong ball to a little larger than a softball.

I call this one "The Show Down".

Hmmmmm....what to eat.....

Ehh......I'll just eat everything in sight like always.

Yeah, he has strong jaws and odontodes (sort of like teeth but not true teeth). They can bite hard but he's never bit me and I hand feed him all the time. I don't pet him but if you do go to pick him up he inflates like a balloon.

I am so curious about Frog teeth now.... it's kinda like when you tell a kid not to touch the firs because it hurts... guess what I wanna do!

the pixie and the pacman are the only two frogs that i know of that have teeth and i have worked with some mean pacman and they get big eough to eat mice
