Hi everyone.
Since I have been on AC, I have learnt a fair bit, thanks everyone.
Here is my new tank, been cycling for 3 weeks and added fish yesterday -Jan 31st.
I have
7 angels, 2 of which are a breeding pair.
2 gold rams
6 honey gouramis
6 dwarf gouramis

The dwarf gouramis are already building bubble nests...what happens next?

I have a substrate of river sand, and gravel.
The filter has its own section of 6 inches joined to tank, with bio balls, and wadding and pump.
Temp at 28c
ph at 6.8

Lots of plants. Hoping the substrate will succeed in working with the bio filter being a deep sand bed. Still reading up on it.Cant find black worms anywhere though.

One small striped black angel that was in my 150ltr tank was squashed up against the sponge filter for a day, when I got him up, he was on his side with fins crossed over and curved, did not think it would make it.
Left him in this tank by himself, and I cant believe the next day he was upright and now you couldnt even tell he was all munted.
We have a special bond now :)

So what do you think of my tank?
Its the first time I have planted one :)

If you added all those fish at once you better watch for a sudden ammonia spike. That sounds a bit overstocked as the angelfish require (demand?) sizable territory.

Yep I am. Every morning testing amm, ni, na, ph, temp.
Got 15% WC last night, same again tomorrow.
Angels are doing fine :)
They rule the top of the tank and go where they want. The others swim amongst the plants.
I have another 6 ft tank to set up and one cycling in the corner for the breeders... I'm not worried :)

Great tank!

The dwarf gourami are dying off, the first day I bought them, now 3.
My established gourami are fine and so are the honeys, **** parasitic fish.
I got my ammonia spike in time too!

I predict it will be a very stable and successful tank once it gets fully established. My freshwater DSB seems to improve with age. Beautiful angelfish.
