I have a new shipment of bettas coming in so I have to make space. "Vacilla", was raised in Hawaii from a different breeder. Vacilla has proved a great breeder, though she has only been bred once. The last time I attempted to spawn her was a time when the aggressive male nearly killed her overnight, despite the fact that the tank was packed full of moss. A bunch of her scales were missing and she had practically no finnage. I removed her to her own 5 gallon tank with treated water and IAL and she did heal up nicely, though she is still scarred and her finnage is still in the process of growing back right now.
Here is the only picture I have of her, which is a pretty junky picture that doesn't show much (sorry!). If you are really interested and need to see more, I can take a more recent picture. NOTE: this was BEFORE the male was aggressive toward her, and her finnage torn.
