Hi all
well I was having problems with an algae bloom so after reading up and looking around I bought a UV filter ,best thing I ever done.
here are some photo's of how it worked out .

have not had any problems since :-)

and update :
in summer some of the fish are joining the others outside in the pond which is also getting upgraded from a whiskey barrel to a proper preformed pond which is going to be built up instead of put in the ground, since I am renting the property it will be easier to move, and easier to level out with soil cos where I am putting it won't leveled .
all the fish are doing great outside :-)

Wow thats really a great before and after looks like it really cleared it up. Just curious but what do you think was causing all the algae, I haven't ever seen a tank get like that before?

Not sure why but I did what the pet shop said ,i think it got contaminated in the ceramics somehow, so I boiled the ceramics then added some bacteria (stress zime ) I think it was called that and left the fish in a big tub until the tank cycled but once the fish went back in ,it started all over again ,that's when I got the filter. So if anyone else knows or has had this problem, I would love to know.

well I used to think those uv lights didn't really work but what ever it was you got it under control now so thats all that matters.
