Mine bred in a 180g community tank. Planted with drift wood, and although some of the fry did become breakfast I would say that at least 75% survived. I suppose survival depends on how many hiding spots you have for the fry. As the other inhabitants in my tank include , clowns, ghost knife and geo's just to name a few potential threats to fry.
