hey everybody, I have my 55 gallon tank already setup, full and everything, but it is on top of my dresser. For all I know it could be fine, but im not willing to chance that and have 55 gallons of water fall through the ceiling of my downstairs neighbors. If you have something, i would prefer it isnt metal, let me know.I wanna get it onto a stand ASAP! Thanks!

Hey Sam. I had to move your other thread here, as this is the appropriate forum for your request. Then I noticed you'd already posted another thread here, so I had to remove the other one. This site would turn into a real disorganized mess if we allowed members to post duplicate threads in multiple forums.

Some quick options: If safety is an urgent consideration (your dresser has already gotten wet), you may need to drain the tank and set it up again on the floor, temporarily, until you're able to find a decent tank stand. You could also set up a make-shift (but sturdy) tank stand using cinder blocks and plywood.

Another good source for you to check for a used stand would be your local Craigslist site. 55 gallon tanks and stands have been mass produced in large numbers, so it's an easy and inexpensive setup to find.

Good luck with your search!
