Hi everyone,

Today I was given a 60 gallon tank from my husbands boss. I was going to convert it to saltwater (I already have a 12 gallon nano-cube), but decided to go fresh water with this one.

Anyway, since I'm new to fresh water, I decided to register with Aquaria Central and get some input as to what I should fill it with.

Please help me think up some cool ideas and design a beautiful tank!

well, what do you like? Also what are the dimensions?

If you want something colorful, then look into african chiclids. For personality, look into Jack Dempseys (1 in a 60), weather loaches (might not be legal in your area) which can live in a community setting.

If I was you, I would get a coldwater tank with fancy goldfish, weather/dojo loaches and a pair of rhinogobius wui (white cheecked goby)

ps. Do you want live plants?

Congrats on the tank! What kind of equipment do you have with the 60g?
