FREE How do I ship Express Mail?

Ditto msjinzd posts^^^. I mark my boxes "aquarium plants in water" (not live fish) and have had no problems with that.
Hey, some shrimp musta snuck in there with the plants :)

ALSO, should your box leak, this lets USPS know it is JUST water, not something they need to call hazmat for!

When I did my first shipment with the USPS, my wife was up front with the worker(who she had become friendly with, turns out he was a racer too!) and told him it was fish, but we didn't want to mark the box that way. He said there shouldn't be a problem and stamped "fragile" all over it. So far with 2 express shipments, I've had no problems. I'm doing my first Priority shipment tomorrqw, hoping for the best from them. I know the fish will be packed right on my part. But it does pay to get to know and be friendly with your local shipping personnel, be it UPS FedEx, USPS, whatever.

My post office is so busy that the wait in line is usually 30 minutes or more. For this reason, I prefer not to talk to the people behind the counter. So, I print the postage off on the computer through paypal or stamps.com and just leave the boxes on the counter for them. It seems to work for the most part, but sometimes I don't get a delivery confirmation from them. In those cases, I'm guessing that whomever took the boxes off the counter failed to scan them in.

The only reason I don't label as live is at the advisement of my postal workers. Ordinarily, I would say honesty is the best policy however in this circumstance, the rules are based on air breathign critters. THey want to be able to place air breathign critters in the appropriate part of the plane. With fish in an enclosed bag, this is not an issue which is why they recommended that I not label it as live though I do say it contains water, etc.
