This is rather experimental. I'm looking to ship some Endlers using a rather barebones method that I usually use with inverts (basically, it's just crumbled paper for padding), to see if it goes well. I've been told it's fine, "I use that too", etc, but basically - no guarantees and no refunds.

You'll get a quintet of some sort, probably either 2m/3f or 3m/2f. You pay shipping only - price is variable, it's a 2lb package from 11204. You can get the price here http://www.usps.com/prices/priority-mail-prices.htm

Ill take a package shipped to 33881. I estimated it to be around 7.50 so how about 8.00 even? Let me know where to paypal to.

No pictures, and it cannot go flat rate for a lower price.

I only really had one package to go, I'm currently working down the list of people who PMed/posted first.

were they pure tiger endlers?
because 1 package isnt a scientific experiment, its like a shot in the dark. you need atleast 10 packages sent out to determine if its a suitable shipping method.

Put my name in the hat in case the offer is renewed/reopened. A test to w. TN would be a really good experiment cuz it is still seriously [expletive deleted] hot on many days here still. Not as bad as it was in JN, JL and AU, but only because it doen't hit high 90s every single day.

And yes I'm also one who has shipped "bare-bones" as well. With endlers and mollies both. Unless fish are quite large or exceedingly valuable I think it works fine in all but the coldest times and places of the year. Folks would buy a lot more fish (and sellers would pocket more $$$) with less packaging allowing smaller flat rate boxes. /imho

for a bare bones shipping method i'll tell you what i do...

I use the old recycle news paper insulation. I buy it from home depot and it come in like a 2.5 cubic foot bag packed tight. like 10 or 11 bucks. I use the flat rate shipping box large and small size and I use 6 inch ploy bags to pack fish in. I can get 4 in the large flat rate box and 2 in the smaller one. what I do is put some insulation inside on the bottom of the box, lay the 2 bags down. toss more on the sides and middle of the bags. Use your hand to push it in there to pack it tight and then i cover the top and tape the box. haven't had one problem yet believe it or not. even on super hot 95 degree days the water was still 80 degree when the box was opened and temp checked.
