this thread just fails bc of all the old people!!! its supposed to be for kids to talk not for people who when they were a kid they got a quarter each month as allowance.

Never had an allowance....worked for my money and got paid for what I did for others...not get handed something for existing...
Yeah, they paid him to stay away and to shutup! Too bad it doesn't work here!

I used to.... when I was around 10.... then I had to start mowing lawns and taking care of the animals.... then I got a job.
They make it harder to live without your parents now, because you have to be 16 to work in many places and 18 to work more then 20 hours a week (in PA). It's not fair...ok then.......i dont get allowance either. people just buy me stuffmostly fish stuff
Agreed. Reality sucks.
