Mafia 95 - "Mayor's Mansion" (The Play)

So I went back and looked and MC never mentioned anything about UN up until 1hr before night when UN started moving his votes around. I'm thinking if MC had an invest on UN and he came up scum this would have come up before then. Maybe not come right out and say it to be obvious but UN is not even on one of MC's suspect lists. Doesn't make sense if he knew what UN was. I think it makes more sense that MC investigated DD. DD is someone that MC has played with before and knows she plays well. He would have been more apt to investigate her. He wasn't so subtle with his vote though and it ended up getting him lynched.

For now I vote to lynch DD

Dawg, you essentially are creating only two options...either MC investigated DD or MC investigated UN. How about the option that neither were investigated and MC's actions yesterday were largely unconnected to his invest?

Nice find Chill.

So do you think MC investigated me or DD? You can;t have it both ways.

I would say it was you. I was typing my post when Chill posted that quote from MC. When I scrolled back and saw it it made a lot of sense. I retract my vote on DD

I was hoping it would be as easy as that but it is not. And Chill is right again...MC's invest can't clear you either unfortunately.

I believe it was because he wanted to appear obviously NOT the detective... but just wishy washy... he was being careful so as not to be suspected as detective which in the end screwed himself because he not only convinced the mafia of not being the detective, he also convinced those who voted that he was not a townie either.

I see what you guys are saying, but if that's the case. Why was he so clear about calling UN Mafia.

imo, it looks like he said without a doubt that UN was scum. if he only got to share one invest, then all three claims can't be right.

I can see investigating Jpappy on night 1, that makes perfect sense. Those quotes look like they can certainly be hints that Jpap was investigated and came back as innocent.

I can also see investigating DD on night 1,

I have a hard time believing someone would investigate UN on night 1, but then again, how well does MC know him? What strikes me is how definitive the Mafia post is.

Last option is that there is something else that we have missed so far.

It's can be only one of these scenarios, I have a hard time getting passed how definitive MC was about calling UN scum, twice.

I really thought you were scum MC...never would have guessed you were the Det. Sorry to see you go. At least the Doc came through for us even though Spence didn't.

I can see a case for DD or UN. I need to go back and look before I place a vote though. It may be a good idea to run DD and UN against each other. Then we can see if any scum vote any certain way. Any thoughts?
I have a couple thoughts here.

I am starting more and more to like Dawg as mafia. He spent most of the first day getting grumpy pants because of the banter/spaming/etc. Then, for all that his participation has largely consisted of soft-ball questions, and trying not to ruffle any feathers. The only time I can remember seeing Dawg not up front with a lot of original thought is when he was scum in the first assassin in the palace game. Then to be the one to float the idea of running DD against UN makes me really uneasy.

The more I look at LG's game, I like her as mafia too. I get the time constraints and all, but her game feels a lot like Dawg's. Light hearted and really pretty "not meant to offend". It feels like she picked a couple people to "dig" into (DD, and there was someone else I can't remember atm), and just kind of lobbed some softball questions around. Then jumping in and voting DD based solely on her guess as to MC's investigation. Defending that position along with the post I pulled earlier doesn't look good at all. I can say that I never thought MC was the detective after his vote on DD, because I was (and am) more interested in finding scum than finding the detective. I get the feeling LG's goal may be different.

Now that all the frantic voting post night fall is over, it is time to pull things together.

First off I think it was kind of slick the way Chill came in, found the post that MC said JP was innocent, then pulled the rule stating the boss was going to show as an innocent if investigated D1.

21 players this game. What are the odds of investigating scum let alone the Boss on night 1?

I have played with Chill on scum teams and as non communicating innocents.

Chill came in playing his normal game. Posting videos and fluff. Love it. Couldn't imagine a game without him. Then when asked direct questions he answers them and goes back to fluff. Tonight he went out of his way to post relevant posts. So much so that he had to go through a lot of posts to find it.

If memory serves correctly, the only time he does that is when scum.
