Went out for a little around dusk and got a couple bluegill. The bluegill were hitting like crazy, I love their colors. Also got this other little guy...

Nice catch! but, you should never hold them in a towel if you are releasing them. It removes their slime coat, promotes shock and illness.
 
Lol my fingers aren't small enough for a bluegills mouth. But you're right didn't even think about it, all I do really is catch and release, in more for the fun than anything else

Got a decent largemouth today during a little break in the rain. There was a huge one sitting on a nest that wouldn't bother chasing anything other than stray bluegill it would chase away. And as always catch and release. Had to set him down to get the hook out, 2 prongs in one lip

Pumpkinseeds are really stunning too. I love the male colors when the bass are done spawniing and they move in the beds

Nice catch here's what I've got so far today. Just sitting on the bank of the patuxent until the thunderstorms come later on. Just a catfish. The hook fell out as I was trying to take a pic an he was pretty tired
