What do you think of "Fish Tank Kings"?

I think the staff of tanked are a bunch of idiots.. Their Jersey accents and their idiocy's make me want to punch babies. Fish Tank Kings they seem to know more about fish keeping.. I havent had the time to watch a complete episode yet.

These guys aren't much better, they don't have the accents but they seem even more staged. And Francis on the show is probably your typical stocking police member on here.

Thanks for the heads up, I wont watch it. There is enough in my day to day life that makes me mad already.

IMO, both of them are staged reality soap operas. the ideas are neat however not practical. I mean building a saltwater tank in a crappy old bus that looks like its going to blow up....and then driving it around seems like it would be torture on the fish! I guess its cool that it is for "educational purposes"...but isn't that what class trips to the aquarium are for! Haha....needed to get that off my chest....sweww! Lol. FTK seems rather unproffesional as well, and francis is the stock nazi!

I've watched full episodes of both. They are both heavily staged although the Tanked people are better at faking it. FTK makes me mad because they have a fish biologist supposedly to help them get it right and he is treated as an annoyance and obstacle by everyone else on the show. I expect it's nothing like real life, I don't know anybody who would put up with that everyday.

We can say what we want but the people must know something about what they are doing you don't achieve their success and not.

I'm willing to bet they get more money in contracts to maintain the aquariums they setup than from the builds themselves but your point is valid, word of mouth would have killed both of them long before they got on TV if every tank was a disaster after they left.

Lolol a reality show called jersey shore and the real world begs to differ. All you have to do is pitch an idea a broadcast company likes and you're in. I'm sure they know a lot but based on some of what I've seen they don't put a lot of effort into learning more on the fish side of things, more the business and the build.

Also remember that a lot of these businesses consider being on that show advertising so maybe it is just cheaper lol. Granted I don't know that for sure I just like to think about it from multiple sides. After I heard about all the fish that died in some of the tanks it made me wonder.

I don't know about fish kings but tanked the build is the business. I am not talking about their television career, the business is legit and was so before the show so they know something about building and the manufacturing is what the guys on tanked are about. While they claim to be fish keepers, they are builders in the end.

That I don't doubt but they both have pretty large operations and were building big tanks for years before the shows. That shows they must be doing something right. Not necessarily fish care, just something.
