So I decided to get a firemouth last weekend. It seem though, however, that his fin got damaged when the guy at the fish store was catching him because I did not notice it when he was in the tank. Either way, I decided to get him because I like him in particular. The guy put on bio-bandage on the are and off the firemouth was with me. He has been doing well in the tank. He eats, his colors are fine. It seems to have gotten better, but it still looks terrible. Anyone ever see this, if so, is there any medication to speed up the healing or get rid of whatever it is???

Water changes will do wonders. Some folks like to add stress coat. I would possibly add a dose or two of MelaFix just for precaution. but multi W/C's is the main prescription. That & time. I had one thet got scuffed up by some rowdy tankmates but after a week or so good as new. They're tough so don't worry. "T"
