Hey everyone, I have my 29g and 10g that are both having issues with fish dying.
The first death was a long finned zebra danio that was in qt. But he seemed to have issues from the start.
The second death was a guppy in the 29g that got sucked to the filter. (aqueon 50)
The third is a long finned zebra danio in the 29 that got sucked to the filter (aqueon 50).
Both tanks are cycled, and my testing shows all levels are fine. ammonia 0, nitrites 0, nitrates are kept below 20 most of the time with water changes. None of the fish died within 3 days of a water change. It was always about mid way between when I do water changes. I use aqueon water conditioner.
The first and second deaths the fish were acting kind of strange before they died. But the third is totally unexplained. He seemed totally healthy. The temp in the 10g holds at 78 with the heater. The 29 doesnt have a heater yet, but the temperature in that room does not change much, and if it does, it is a very slow change. The lowest that tank has ever gotten is 75, but it holds at 78 most of the time.
I was thinking it might be something to do with the water, but my betta in his 5g is totally unaffected by this.
Does anyone have any ideas?
