New White Crays

I placed all four into the 53 gallon with the pleco's I had in there. I was a bit worried cause I thought maybe the pleco's might pester them so I was just keeping an eye out for them. Well even at there small size they are the ones pestering my pleco's. To small to harm them just annoys them. They are pretty awesome. I like them.

Craw Chief got any pic's of yours you wanna share with us?

I wouldn't trust them in with the pleco's for long. They will do more than pester as they mature.

Oh I know that from experience OrionGirl. Before when I was a kid I had a pleco with a cray and at one point the cray had got a strong hold of the pleco's tail and ate the tip off before the pleco's thrashing finally broke the crays grip. The pleco's in the tank I am getting rid of slowly but surely.

Ok, just wanted to make sure. :) I know my little monsters would make quick work of any fish they could catch. The babies are fair game to bigger fish (like marmorkrebs, great food source for bigger fish!), but the sub-adults and adults hold their own and then some.

I had Dwarf Cajuns and they were nice crays didn't mess with anyone in my tank. Not really sure what happened to them though I know 1 passed away after a week of having it just didn't take well to the tank the other I had for awhile but can't remember what happened to him. Cherax Destructors look nice. I was thinking of getting them. Nice big claws they get.

If you go that route, make sure to keep them entirely separate from your white crays. The species that you have there (P. clarkii), the white ones, carry a disease that is lethal to C. destructor. Don't even use the same buckets to do water changes on their tanks.
