Cryptoheros myrnae

Well I remembered seeing some food grade containers on craigslist that in the past I wanted to buy but never did. Thinking I may do that after all now. The containers hold 275 gallons if I remember correctly. All I would need is to cut a hole up on top and there we go. Even has a spout on the bottom.

Cool deal i would if i were you man.. I think you will like them..

Also just found a deal called a collapse-able koi show tank I guess it's made for displaying your koi when your going to shows or what not. Well there 85 gallon each at like 70 bucks a piece with shipping included. Not nearly as big as the food grade containers but I think they would be more manageable considering there not way tall. The FG containers are I think 4' tall where the koi tank is 2'. Also comes with a mesh zip on screen so no worry about predators or jumping fish.

I will. Just need to create a spot for it. So will be awhile. Got so many projects and to lazy to start any of them lol. Need to paint my room then build a multi-aquarium stand got to sell off more then half of my plants outside cause I have so many duplicates now its not even funny also got to get cement poured on the side of my room along with get another shade tarp to finish covering the entire side of my room. Wanna see how I could do the shade tarp to keep out the neighbors dang cats. They are getting into everything. I know several people are getting upset cause there walking all over the cars now along with taking dumps in everyone's plants. But yea allot of projects. Oh and got to re-pot most of my current plants cause the bark I had in some of the plants began to mold and that's not good for my plants and seeing as how I got almost nothing but Agave's and Aloe's it is literally a pain to change there pots.

You will have to put gravel over the substrate to keep cats from crapping in the plant beds

Yea I ain't paying for gravel cause they are to lazy to keep there cats indoors. They won't last long out here. To many dog lovers and cat haters. I've seen people swerve to try and hit the cats out here but slam the brakes and swerve the opposite direction for a dog or even a bird. Plus gophers out here just suck all the substrate into there holes.

I couldnt help but notice that you said that there are gophers in your area. Idk if it works for gophers or not but i once had a sewer rat problem in my backyard ( right under the shed near the blackberries) and i got them out by getting smoke into its hole. I just had a piece of wood, put it in my outdoor fireplace and lit it on fire for a while. Then i dumped water all over it and placed about 2/3 of the wood in the rat hole and blew all the smoke i could into the hole. Sucker ran right out of its escape hole and havent had a problem since. I did this last summer and like i said, no problems since. Its worth a shot, just dont go burning your house down or your plants.

LOL they sell poison smoke bombs that do that. You light it stick it in the hole then cap the hole. The gas goes through and kills anything that's caught in it. Only problem is the gophers can cap off a tunnel and be safe on the other side. So they work but minimally. One site suggests a hose coming out of your tail pipe from your car and the other end into there hole and they die from carbon monoxide and it's virtually odorless but since the gophers have been avoiding my yard recently I have yet to try it. Plus flooding them out works pretty good.

Any updates on these guys? Would love to see some new pics of the species you keep, Gabe. :)
