well I updated my male an female guppies tanks and got quite a few more live plants inc some floating plants and a new ligt, its diff than my last bulb, don't know much about them so cant say why its different but what I can see is different is the hue of the bulb, a different shade. anyway its showing the colours of the guppies up much better now and the females are showing much more colour!! they all have yellow at the base of their tails fanning out to pale pearly blue. and the blue male has got a spot of yellow at the base of his tail too i'll post pics soon if I can
I see no one answered your question about the value of the guppies. I wanted to get into guppy breeding but its a PITA. As far as the value of your fish; its only worth what someone is willing to pay. Since its a guppy people arent willing to pay much at all. Sorry to be a bummer Did you manage to get any more of those fantastic rainbow colored guppy fry?

still waiting for the females to drop their fry an then it'll still be a while before I see colour developing an pick them out, it took the male fry from the first wk of jan till a couple of weeks ago to get to this stage with colour, still don't know if they have developed all their colour yet, but fingers crossed I get more!! slightly off subject but my goldfish tank, when I added all the plants yest to the guppie tanks I threw the left over plants into the goldfish tank..........I looked earlier an panicked as I saw lots of eggs an assumed snail eggs had come in on the plants or I hadn't spotted a rouge snail an it had layed like mad last night, until I remembered myself and my lacking of knowledge an approached google and its infinite wisdom instead.... my goldfish spawned!!! they really liked the plants!!!! my gold goldfish is dada (pimples on his gill covers that are deffo not disease) and momma is my orange and white goldfish!! I cant see a black dot on them yet as they are less than 24hrs old but I can see a line down most of them so im gunna assume they are fertile will ask all the questions I need to in another thread though so this one doesn't get confusing
an thanx, lol I thought they still would be cheap, but meh, its not about money, they are just soo cute an so far its been easy but until the females start throwing them out at a silly rate I don't really know how its gunna go, its then i'll start hitting hurdles. tbh its my body clock I think, screwed up as it is, coz im unable to have more kids im living vicariously through my fish haha!! I just wanna see lads of nice babies an keep buying more tanks, what with the fish and my orchids it'll be like a watery jungle in my house soon my oh complains about the fish already, but he keeps turning up with random tanks that I didn't even ask him to get, I think he can just see how happy it makes me to watch them swim an play an have babies
