Yet again, coldmarine delivers...
The sponge is gorgeous, feed it well! I hope an updated full-tank shot is on its way.
Did you post a blog about this tank somewhere?

marine coldwater tank update

Hi everyone....haven't posted for a while....no more questions forthcoming on the cold marine front, other than an initial surge when I first posted on the site....I guess we're in the minority, compared to the tropical marine side of the hobby!!
I do have the added advantage of being able to collect for my tank, and do live in a pristine area, which enables me to collect natural seawater as well......not many retailers out there that bother with the temperate water specimens!
Here's a few more pictures of the tank....really healthy and growing as the months go by....still collecting...the back wall is now almost to the water level.
Hit me with some questions if you'd like more info on this unusual side of the hobby.

Looks incredible. I really like how it has progressed. How long have you had the vortech? How do the animals react to it for you?

Once again, the tank is looking fabulous! How largely does the chiller effect your electric bill, I am thinking of starting small, and would like to know how much money it cost for operation. and how did you insulate the tank?

Hi cam 191919,
I've kept the fish down to a minimum....where I dive for the "jewels" there are plenty of fish....lots of seahorses too,but they wouldn't suit this type of set-up.I have a pretty little goby,a triplefin and lots of shrimp, some porcelain crabs, pink and orange starfish and pure white nudibranches...also lots of turbo snails.....these all keep the tank "in balance"....it's always a temptation to overstock a tank, especially in my case where I can collect at will....I see you live in Florida,so you could probably do the same with a tropical marine!
