I have started all my tanks over, have gone with discus. These blue are survivors from a breeder in Colorado. The Post office lost the box, 5 out of 14 fish survived. I have had them about 7 weeks, and the are just about 2 inches. Eating everything. They are in a 30 gallon tank at this time and there new home will be a 75 fully planted tank when they are ready.

They're beautiful! Can't wait to see pics of them when they are fully grown & in their permanent 72g tank. Sucks that you lost so many in transit.... Stuff happens unfortunately.

What are you plans for the 72g? What will you be housing in it along with the discus?

as for tank mates, a real good cleaning crew and just Discus... USPost Office has lost another box of Discus, 8 Reds out of Florida. Were to be delivered by this AM, as of 5PM, they have no idea were they are. I did double insurance on them.. Why do they give you a tracking number, if they loose the item.... I tried to get breeder to send FedX, I was more than willing to pay... I just hope they show up tomorrow...

PO found my box, got it late Saturday... Breeder did a great job of packing, little guys seem to be doing fine. They are about dine size, and eating everything offered.. Will post pictures in a few days...

Those pictured really look nothing like blue discus in their coloration. Blues are often indistinguishable from browns in that there are multiple striations in the coloring from the face back through the body, along with some red coloration mixed in on the body and fins. The ones pictured have no striations to speak of...a solid blue body and fins.
