I'd love to create a Nano Reef... maybe 20 gallons or so... to house a flame angel. It's my favorite reef fish. Is there any possibility of this working out, or am I only dreaming? Any advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated. It'll be my very first marine aquarium attempt and I would love advice on what to stock with my angel, what live rock and sand to use, what filtration, etc. works best with marine.

Thanks!!

Its possible :) very hard though. I don't know much my self, but I saw thise awesome 12 gallon cube...

Just my opinion, but i would say that a 20Gal is a little small for a flame angel.....

Rock wise, you will need about 1 - 1.5lbs of live rock per gallon, and a sand bed of about 2 inches....If you buy enough live rock, you do not need to buy a filter as the live rock will provide you mechanical filtration..sand wise, buy aragonite sugar grade sand, something like this...

Any more questions, please just shout up and we shall do our best to help you out..

i would think a minimum of 30 gal to host them. they are quite small, adults gets to only about 11 cm. They are not the ideal fish to start off with though. Its best to get in the swing of things starting with hardy fish and whilst they mature your aquarium read up on the more EXOTIC species you'de like to keep. good luck:)
