Is there a wat to prepare fresh garlic to feed your fish with? Like maybe cut it into small pieces or something?

Sorry, but this is very new to me.. we are talking about that stuff that you get from the fruit and veg and comes in heads, and can be broken up into cloves? Is this supposed to prevent the fish from getting the flu?

Just read that link. Thanks Niko.

I happen to use it. Have used regular from the grocery store garlic, Kent's Garlic Xtreme and Seachem's Garlic Guard. I have no clue if it's related or not but it 'seems' to have helped and until these future studies come out, I will continue to use it. I've never experienced nor read anything that points to negative effects so I figure, "why not?"

i ahve noticed the difference using Kent's Garlic Xtreme and Seachem's Garlic Guard. boosts the immune systems just like garlic does for people. i choose to use the made products even though they are more expensive than a home made one because the dose is made just for fish and is more concentrated but home made , for what i heard, works well.

I use 100% organic garlic powder. I put 1/2 cup in one cup of RO water and microwave 1 minute to boiling in a glass. I let it sit until it cools. I pour the mixture into a coffee filter and squeeze the liquid out into a jar with a good lid. Refrigerate until needed. The garlic powder costs $1.78 which is a lot less than any LFS bought additive. Warning though, your house will smell like garlic if you don't have candles burning and the exhaust fan on. I noticed a huge difference in my fish accepting different food.
