Here's some updated pictures as of month 6 of my SW tank. The coralline is really starting to take form, and seeding the base rock real well. I appreciate your feedback/comments/suggestions!

Cheers!
Yash

I admire anyone who has a saltwater tank. I just don't know enough, or have the money to start a saltwater up. How much did this bad boy set you back?? Loving the look, congrats on the sucess so far.

Well ... I got REEEEALLY lucky with this setup. Everything you see there (setup-wise) was basically just given to me for free cos the guy who had the tank before me got it for his daughter and they got sick of it. It was a 6 month old tank that they just gave away.

The rock, sand, and livestock I had to get myself, which does get pretty steep in itself. I would say, as a really rough estimate, it cost my close to $700 or so. So yeah, it can be an expensive hobby, but compared with a fresh water tank, it is much more rewarding in that you find new stuff everyday, the tank actually grows (live rock etc), and it most definitely prettier.

The SW hobby isn't nearly as difficult as some people make it out to be. You just need a whole lotta patience, and need to do ALL the homework before you jump in! You sure definitely look into it if interested :-)

Thank you for your comments though!

Regards!
Yash
