Same as topic, I left to go to the Chattanooga aquarium yesterday and forgot to turn on the lights. Yet I have noticed lately these 2 leafs on the plant were turning a mere white. What is this caused by? Should they be cut off or something? Im now running a timer on my tanks so I dont have to mess with turning on the lights anymore...

Aponogeton ulvaceus leaves are very delicate and not long-lived. Mine go translucent before they die. Reach down and grasp it by the petiole and gently pull it off from the base. No sense in letting all that nitrogen etc return to the system...

If your Aponogeton has been leafed out all winter long, it may be getting ready to go dormant for the summer.

No the plant is just new and sprouted, its flowering as of now. As I look at the plant its a little green on the upper part of the leaf (In view contrast of light) The under part is a more white-translucent like color. So if the whole leaf and such on a branch I should just pull it from the main seed?

Are you seeing some green algal coating on a dying leaf? A leaf that's no longer photosynthesizing isn't contributing to the energy of the plant. Pull it gently and to the side, and it should come away at the base-- without uprooting the bulb of course...

it looks kinda... healthy now, maybe since it lost about 10 hours of light that day it kinda degenerated without lighting. Im not too sure, the plant looks ok as of now and there is absolutely no algae in this tank...

Just wanted to say, I really like your pond Mantis, That is soooo
nice!

thanks alot punch! Me and my mother have worked on it for some time now and still do little projects to make it better. Yesterday me and her added some more pink blooming lillies and also vine to cover up the biological filter. Once again thanks, it makes my mom feel good other people think the pond is nice :D

I have been thinking of setting up one of those little 1/2 barrel
ponds, I think they would look great on our deck. The problem is...
we have to get the deck built first:( But at least that gives me the time to do the research !
