looks alright....i dont see nething wrong with it as of now....id prolly make the bubble trap, the right one, make it a little higher not much but a little but other then that it looks pretty good

i second that ^^^^....if u want to have some type of filtration u are gonna need a place to put it...id make the intake part bigger and cut slits like u have on the top on the bottom and allow the water to flow through it...some people use bioballs and some use L,R bioballs are cheaper but can become nitrate inhibitors(mine has a sponge to catch big stuff so im not one to talk) so u would have to clean them much more often then LR but otherwise u just have an expensive powerhead...but water circulation is always good and u can add a skimmer and heater something which is nice... check the melvs reef website if u need it ask i dont have it at the moment but that is the best site for all ur ?'s a and designs...GL to ya mate

well i built it.... here was my thinking... the small square will provide a tube to let the water riser through and then flow through from the top into the larger area near it... that large area, will be filled with mud, and then a layer of fine sand over that to provide the best possible anaerobic area... i will also grow some macro in this area... then the water goes through the bubble trap and to the return pump.... i checked my seals for leaks this morning and its all good!! here are some pics... tell me what you think
