Back to the basics, While the sadistic RB was running interesting games, Let's go back to something approaching normal. Plain ole mafia. Yep, ACville is in trouble again.
We'll have the standard rules. The following roles will be included...maybe the mafia will win one.
Townie - standard lynch fodder
Detective - one investigation each night... cannot communicate except in the game thread
Doctor - may protect one person each night from mafia attacks only. May not communicate except in game thread
The Miller - this is an unknown role. The Miller player will not know their role and will be told they are innocent. If investigated by the detective, some unseemly gambling debts will come to light and this person will be assumed to be mafia.
The Mafia - standard mafia goons. May communicate with each other.
The Don - leader of the mafia. The detective will show him as innocent.
NEW ABILITY: One time, the Don may blackmail another player into voting the way he tells them to. The Don will PM me with the name of the blackmail player and the name of the player to vote for. I will forward the information to the player. The player can make whatever justifications he/she wants to, but their final vote for that turn must be the Don's request or the player will be killed. Of the player reveals he is being blackmailed, then he will be killed.
I will determine the presence of a vigilante if there are sufficient players and if you all want him.
The number of mafia depends on the number of players. I think we can all agree on 15-20 as a limit.
Players that have a history of signing up and then being killed off for lack of participation will need to discuss the issue with me in a PM. I understnad one time you forgot to vote or your PC was down. But continual running out on the game is a problem. We want to play, not pray for luck when half the town disappears.

I anticipate the start date as Thursday night if enough players are on, Friday night other wise. Turns will be 48 hours until the town requests a faster cycle.
