what do cichlids like the most?

What other cichlids do you have aside from your Midas? Varied diet is always important. Bloodworms, veggies, earthworms, mosquito larva, brine shrimps and a few others add to their diet.
None of my cichlids will eat pelleted that is not red. All cichlids seem to be attracted to food that is colored red. wonder why?
I've never fed red pellets and all the cichlids I've had over the years have always eaten the pellets. Fish are weird.

I change between spirulina, tetra cichlid crisps and the tetra color granuals. This with occasional live brine shrimp, blood worms and krill helps me vary their diet.
My fish are pigs any ways, as soon as I open the top lid I get splashed in the face!
