Texas with eggs.

I've just found my texas with a whole load of eggs, i think my JD is the mother of them but am not sure yet.

your texas seems to be female... id say she laid eggs but no one fertilized them very common for cichlids

has any other cichlid in the tank helped her dig that pit or clean the rock on which the eggs are laid?

No. I assumed my texas was male because it has developed a nuchal hump.

no theres a blotch of her dorsal fin indicating female
