I need some advice on what type of plants to start a 45g planted tank with angles, I already have one amazon sword in the tank. I know I need more light for the tank. What else do I need to do so I can add more plants. I will post pics later.

Here are some pics of my tank, the light i am getting is this http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=12109 , I bought the 36" version which should give me about 4watts per a gallon. What else will I need?
well first off that fixture might come with an Actinic bulb. Actinic bulbs don't really provide usable light for plants (plant use light in the 5500K to 10000K rangeish) and many people replace. the thing is i think you may want just use one bulb (instead of 2x 96 watt bulbs just use 1x 96 watt bulb), because to be frank that is allot of light for your tank. you at the point where you tank could be considered high tech and would need CO2 ingestion.
Will I be able to keep the alage under control with just fish, or will I have to CO2? And this light is not just of my plants, it is also to simulate a more natural enviorment for the fish.
well the thing is i don't think so. i have less light than you and i still battle with algae constantly because my CO2 is not set up.
You will need CO2, fertilizers and a lot more plants. Stuff it full before you turn that new light on.
Ok so I will start with out the light and then see how things go. If I start getting a outbreak of algae then i will use CO2
