My wife and I have been tossing around the idea of selling our 220 gallon tank. For several reasons. We have great ideas (great to us) for our 100 gallon and our 75. They are in our living room and will be our "show tanks". We have 3 main tanks including the 220. We are just not as interested in the 220 as we used to be and are focused on the other 2. They are all pretty plain right now and it takes so much money to do what we want. The 220 is last on our list because it will take the most money.
If we sell it we would use the money to do our other tanks. we don't really "need" the money though. It will just take a lot longer without it. It takes up a large part of our dining room.
There are a few fish in there that we just don't want to part with, but will have to if we sell the 220. If it weren't for those few fish we wouldn't have this dilemma.
There are 14 fish in that tank (13 since one is in QT right now), the ones we would have a problem giving up are the 9" gold saum Green Terror, 9' albino Oscar, large bala Shark, breeding pair of Jaguars, large 14" Pleco, and the 14" bullhead catfish.
Feel free to add your opinions. and comment on any other factors that you think I may need to take into consideration to decide in one direction or the other.
