I have about 300-400 Ameca Splendens that need homes! These fish are extinct in the wild and are VERY hard to find.
Here is a decent overview of the fish Wikipedia
Latin Name - Ameca Splendens
Common Name - Butterfly Goodeid or Butterfly Splitfin
Ph - 7 - 8
Hardness - 5-10 dGH & dKH
Current Size - Varies! I have everything from just under an inch up to 4 inches
Max Size - males 3ins & females 4 ins
PRICE - as low as $0.25 per fish!!
I want to repopulate these fish for the good of the fish & not my pocket SO depending how many you want I would be willing to go as low as $0.25 a fish for local pick up. My zip code is 07727. I will consider shipping shortly but as of now $.25 a fish would not cover shipping cost to me...bags, rubber bands, packing, the box etc. So IF I ship them there might be an additional fee just to cover the costs.
I do need the space that these fish are in so....make me an offer!
Here are some very poor pictures of them, sorry they are active. These are some of the larger guys/gals. They were just added to that tank about 5 minutes before I took these photos and they still look great. The males have the black strip & black & yellow tails while the females have the more spotted patterns.
