Question about assasins.

they should be but wait for someone with more experience!

do you still have that many snails?!?!?!
Well, yes, but the assasins will be for a different tank. I'm got a planted 29 with RSC and livebearers, and a huge amount on pond snails and ramshorn that I'd like to control a wee bit. In my other tank I've still got about 100 Brigs, that I'll soon be listing for sale or free.

There's deffinate proof of adult assassins killing and eating (at least, partially eating) adult shrimp, but as long as there are plenty of snails, I'd imagine the losses would be minimal.

I'd imagine it'd be minimal as well.

Of the few accounts of Assassins eating shrimp, they almost seem to be "accidental" rather than intentional.

Yes they are shrimp safe... The reports of assassins eating shrimp are very few and far between. Your shrimp will outbreed what an assassin might eat 1000 to 1 or more.

I have Assassins in all of my shrimp tanks with no recorded losses in over a year.

For the full information go here Assassin Snails

There have been isolated, accidental incidents of assassins eating shrimp, but as everyone else said, you'll either A) Not have this happen to you, or B) Your shrimp will reproduce any and all losses 10x the number that assassins would ever eat.
