I'm looking for a cheap, and effective substrate for a planted aquarium.
I've been doing some research into this product, and it seems have positive reviews. However, it was a little tough to source out this stuff, as there's been changes, and Google has not really caught up yet, so here's what I've found. I hope it helps others looking to do the same.

This is the official website for Soilmaster.

If you are in the Tri-State area NY, NJ, CT. You can obtain your closest distributor from the official website.
Lesco has merged with John Deere. As a result, Turface has replaced Soilmaster, as they are seemingly the same product. Soilmaster is on a phase-out at John Deere/Lesco, so you may not be able to locate this.
Generally, I've seen this product range from under $10 to as high as $25 per 50lb bag.
As I dig deeper for cheaper, more efficient plant substrates, I'll update here. Anyone that has more insight on the subject is welcome to contribute as well.
Hope this helps those looking to spend less, to do more.
