Calling all DIYers, new leds?????

Seems pretty cool to me. Says that it's running in the 6-7k range. I have no idea how that would translate in the wpg guidelines that many people look to. At $52 for a 12"sq panel, it's not terribly expensive.
I'd like to see a shot of the white panel, and a mixed red/blue panel together over a tank.

hello anybody home???

I bought these two weeks ago for a 150G I am puting together. I laid them on top of my 55 gal and was not impressed with the visual I received. Not very illuminating. I did buy 2 units for the 150 and am hoping that the addition of a t5ho will help the plant growth a bit. I don't know specs like the others around here do. But i think I can attest to asthetics. Good luck.

Even though the technology has existed for a quite some time I think we are just at the beginning of the marketing phase of LED light arrays for aquariums. Eventually as investment into marketing grows (at the dismay of the power companies who will fight it) LED lighting will do what florescent lighting has done to the incandescent bulb (RIP). But for now they are too expensive and not very effectively made IMO.
