Hi everyone!

I've been interested in joining a forum who's focus was fish-keeping, and I'm lucky to have stumbled upon this site, thanks to Google ;]

A little about me;
My name's Liz
I live in Rhode Island, USA
I work at a local pet store, The Fish Bowl. I absolutely adore my job!
I'm 19 and currently studying Nursing in college. I'll be doing so for at least 3 more years, eventually I plan on going into Pediatrics.

I've had random ten gallon fishtanks all my life (mostly goldfish, aquatic frogs, etc.) I recently purchased my first real tank (a 30 gallon) and have had it for about 2 weeks now. At the moment, I have 1 panda cory cat, and an opaline Gourami. I eventually hope to make it into a freshwater community tank, but I'm still learning. I know how to sell 'em, but setting up a tank for myself is a bit different! I've already suffered my first set-back after learning that the adorable red tailed catfish I've been in love with for weeks is going to get as big as my dog & eat everything small enough to fit in his mouth :[

Nice to meet everyone, I'm glad to be here <3

Welcome to AC!

Welcome to AC!

cories like friends, a group of six is the a recomended number. and that redtail will get a lot bigger than any dog i know :D

:iagree:Get more corys,they stay small and are fun to watch in a group.

Hehe, I certainly plan on getting more corys! I bought two initially as I am aware they don't like being alone but one of the little guys didn't make it :[ I've bought a bronze one home from work since then, and him and the panda are becoming quick friends!

Thanks for the welcomes & suggestions!
