So about a month ago I decided that it would be kool to put a small tank next to my 20 gallon tank. I wanted to use this as a quarantine tank, but later realized that it is way too small. So i decided to make an invert tank! Go me! I purchased a Mr. Aqua 3 gallon bowfront which is just under 12" which fits perfectly in the space that I have to work with. I purchased a 25 watt heater to keep the tank at a blistering 72 degrees! :FIREdevil: At the same time I got a tom's canister filter for tanks up to 20 gallons which I wrapped the intake with a filter bag to keep the critters from getting sucked right in there. I have a 7 watt light hanging on the top of the tank for the plants. I added a small airstone because they need it right? This is my first invert tank so please let me know if I'm doing anything wrong.

As far as plants go, I have a few stems of ludwigia repens arcuata broad and narrow leaf, Hemianthus Micranthemoides, and driftwood with some flame moss tied down.

Here are some progressive pictures

And have recently added the amazingly beautiful blue tiger shrimp that i got from a sale on the planted tank forum

I want to get some foreground plants to put under the driftwood but im not sure what I want to get. Glosso is too fast growing, I was thinking about Utricularia Graminifolia, found some for sale but not sure how well it will do with soft water of 2-3dKH any ideas??

Nice going.

Nice tank!

do you have any moss in there? My cherry shrimp love it, and it would be small as a foreground. I have some attached to driftwood, and some just floating along the bottom.
