well my new tank is up and running, its 48" long, 20" wide, 28" tall. its got the fx5 from my goldies tank running on it so its all cycled, and the goldies are in there as i have turned my 6x2x2 into an oscar set-up. now, my stocking is as follows :o and i need to know what or how many i need to find new homes for.

2 black moors
7 orandas
2 commons
1 shubunkin
6 dojo loaches

i do a 60-70% partial water change every 5-7 days. theres a ton of cabomba and hornwort floating around in there. i will also be adding a fluval 4+ from my big tank tomorrow evening (when my husband is home to lift the hood off for me) but i dont want them to suffer at all or possibly stunt either. the goldies seem so much happier in this tank, im not sure why, but they seem so much more energetic in this tank.

I know nothing except what you told me bout goldfish and with that said you should know the commet and commons should prob be the first to go. But thats just my un educated guess.

ye i know they are going, they are headed out to a pond life as soon as its warmed up a little. its still quite cold here, its freezing at night on occassion. they need at least 5-6 feet of length in a tank to be really happy :) luckily right now they are relatively small at 5-6".

Oh ok. Then I dont know. Give the dojo's the boot. Hey so you got an Oscar now? Post a pic of it i wanna see preferably in the cichlid forum tho lol. Isnt there a guide line bout goldys and tank size??? I remember one of the mods tellin me bout that.

 boot out my dojos....no way! they are way too much fun to watch

i have a pair of small oscars, they are albinos but are more grey than white with dark grey fins. they arent exactly stunners...i so want to pinch that guy you have in your pic though :evil_lol: im after a red tiger oscar to go in with them, id love a green one too but ive not seen them for sale anywhere near me

Hey hey hey leave my lil O alone lol. I still wanna see your O's. Make sure not to get to many remember O's get big up to 14" and poop alot from my previous experiences with them I have not seen a messier cichlid. Messy eaters messy poopers. Only thing now is my fish are not fed live foods like my fish in the past were. They only get prepared foods now.

Ok so u wanna keep dojo's then boot all your goldies lol. Nah why Not keep ur 2 black moors and keep like 3-4 for the orandas and boot the rest? I would keep only 5 cuz 3 seems to little and i prefer odd numbers so five is the next best thing lol

18" Ive never seen a 18" O. Ive seen 14" O's which is a rare sight in a LFS but an 18" O??? Well if they can get that big hope mine does. He is far from that eventual size though.
